Description:
This W&C Scott & Sons, came from the collection of famous writer Ross Seyfried. "Lever Grip Lock, Makers & Patentees. London" is found on the concave damascus top rib, which also has a gold eight-pointed star inlay. "W & C Scott Patented Block-Safety Hammerless" stamped on the left side of the receiver. The case-colored locks are engraved with fine English scroll with swan (left) and duck in flight (right). Each lock is fitted with the "Patent Crystal Indicator" cocking indicators. The barrels are chain damascus with little original finish. The stock is of highly figured English walnut, finished with a peaked horn butt plate. This gun is black powder proofed; ca. 1886.
