This is a Veisen & Son Snider-Enfield. Veisen & Son are listed at 101 Moor Street, Birmingham England in 1868. This is a commercial version of a government Snider. The breech is opened on the left side by pressing a small catch so it is a MKIII model Snider action. Three band barrels are usually 1:78 rifling twist rate. The caliber is .577 Snider. It has nice diamond checkering on the wrist and forearm.
