The serial number is from 1903. The receiver and lever have Good patina with case colors still visible. The action is tight. The crescent butt plate, fore end cap, and magazine tube show Good blue. The 26 inch half octagon barrel has Good blue. The bore has good rifling but is pitted. Sights include a Lyman tang sight, a replacement folding rear sight, and a front bead sight. The walnut stock has flattened checkering on the pistol grip. The finish is Good, and the wood does not appear to have been sanded. There is damage from QD sling swivels having been installed on the bottom of the butt stock and the fore end.
