St. Etienne 1907-15 8MM Lebel caliber rifle. Purchased by Turkey post World War II and shortened, then issued to their forestry service. 1948 was the date of conversion on this rifle. Non matching serial numbers. The bore has strong rifling and is dark in the grooves. Good wood. Original sling. Mostly brown patina metal finish. Seldom seen. Good overall condition.
