Description:
Issued through the American Historical Foundation, this revolver is a near exact replica of the engraved and gold inlaid revolver owned by General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The revolver is fitted with a 7 1/2 inch barrel and features full coverage finely detailed scroll engraving with gold inlaid scenes including cowboys, pioneers, wild animals, an American bald eagle on the right side of the barrel, and a small portrait of Samuel Colt on the loading gate. The back strap is inscribed " Dwight David Eisenhower/President of the United States/Man of Peace". These guns came in a fitted presentation case, which this one is missing, and stag grips, which in this case have been replaced with two-piece ivory with silver Colt medallions. This 3rd Generation SAA is in like new condition with the exception of the bottom of the grip being scratched and the replacement ivory grips not fitting well.
