Nicely restored Henry Nettleton inspected U.S. Military Contract Colt Single Action Army chambered in .45 Long Colt. This 1878 vintage U.S. stamped SAA is H.N. (Henry Nettleton) stamped on the barrel, hammer, frame, trigger guard, back-strap, cylinder, and grips. It is all numbers matching and has the correct cartouches on both sides of the one piece wood grips. This gun was restored by the late Tommy Haas and it operates like a new one, with a bright bore and perfectly functioning action with a tight lock-up. Great looking SAA, own a Military inspected Colt SAA at a fraction of the cost of an original condition example.
As stated before, this great looking U.S. Cavalry Colt was restored by Tom Haas Sr. and is in nearly 100% new condition. Before he passed away, Mr. Haas was considered to be the master of Single Actions, and his mechanical and finishing skills were second to none. This gun in the 48000 serial range was inspected by Henry Nettleton and carries his "HN" stamp. The grips are stamped with the 1878 date of manufacture. Inside and out, this gun appears unfired and is mechanically perfect. A great example of the famous Indian War Colt .45 revolver.
