Description:
Colt model 1917 in 45 acp. This revolver was made in the second year of production. The current finish is an even brownish gray color. The metal surface still retains the smooth polish from the original commercial finish. A large number was called back into service after World War 1 and had a bead blast finish. The original walnut grips are still in very good condition. The action is very tight. The 5 1/2 inch barrel has good rifling and would clean up nicely. This would make a fine shooter for someone looking for a large bore Colt.
