Description:
The .22 Winchester Rim Fire was introduced with the Winchester Model 1890. It was developed as an improvement over the .22 Long Rifle of the time.It was flat based inside lubricated & carried a flat nose bullet of 40 to 45 grains. As propellants improved prior to WWII the .22 Long Rifle High Velocity round pretty much killed the .22 W.R.F.and no firearms have been chambered for it in some time. Ammunition has been produced in limited amounts.
