Description:
The Colt New Line 2nd Model was made from 1876 to 1884. The 5-shot revolvers were fittwed with either a 1 3/4, 2 1/4, or 4 inch barrel, fluted cylinder (long flutes) with cylinder stop slots cut on the back of the cylinder, spur trigger, loading gate or not, blue/case hardened or full nickel finish, and were chambered in .22, .30, .32, .38, or .41RF, or CF. This 1883 vintage gun is as described and is fitted with a 2 1/4 inch barrel, with etched panel "COLT NEW .32", is blue finished, a non loading gate model, and is chambered in .32 C.F.. It retains about 95% of its original blue finish, with some spotty flaking on the front and sides of the frame and barrel and some thinning on the sharp edges of the frame,cylinder and barrel. The bore is perfect and the action function like new. The Colt hard rubber grips are in near excellent condition (some handling marks), fit perfectly, and have no chips or cracks. Notice the beautiful un-molested fire blued screws, hammer, cylinder pin and trigger. This gun almost looks unfired, maybe factory test fired only. A fantastic example of its type.
