World War II US Officers Helmet Liner and Helmet. 8th Infantry Division 28th Infantry Regiment Black Lions.
This Second Lieutenant landed on Utah Beach, Normandy July 4th 1944. There is no providence because the old guys did not want to talk about it. But the helmet is dark green, rear seem sewed on chin strap. The helmet has marks where the liners insignia has rubbed the interior where the insignia is. This outfit had combat in Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe.
