Remington U.S. New Model Army, Cal. .44 Ser. 1107XX.
With original U.S Holster. The gun, while showing a soft grey blue patina, there are still significant patches of the original blue. Conservatively there is probably about 40-45% of the original finish remaining.. The balance is totally free of rust and pits. The top strap does have a few pin pricks.
All appropriate parts are inspector marked with correct alpha characters. The bore and chambers are super nice. The barrel is remarkably bright with very sharp rifling and just a hint of frosting. The wooden grip panels are in super condition. However, the inspector's cartouche has just about disappeared over the years.. There are no chips, splits or dings in anywhere.
The gun locks up tight and indexes properly.
It comes with an original holster still featuring the proper U.S. brass plaque. The holster, while it is in very nice condition for its age, is missing the plug at the bottom. The original holster adds some real history, value and charm to the gun.....$1895.
