Description:
This original - 45-70 Trapdoor - Springfield Model 1884 rifle has been cut to a saddle ring carbine has a round tapered 1" to 11/16" x 20-1/2" barrel fitted with an adjustable 1873 trapdoor rear sight and a blade front sight. The bore is in good condition. The P grade Walnut stock is mounted with iron furniture, including a saddle ring. Stamped on the butt plate is US 67. A faint inspector cartouche can be seen on the left side of the stock just behind the rear lock screw. The trapdoor breech block is dated US Model 1884, stamp is partially obliterated. Stamped on the lock plate is US Springfield and the spread eagle. Length of pull is 13-1/2". Good wood to metal fit - made by Springfield Armory. Condition: Good. Our stock number is A225 - P-26-67. Will ship anywhere in the USA, buyer pays freight and insurance.
