Description:
U.S Krag model 1898 made close to the end of production around 1904. This is one of the better cut down models I have seen. It looks like arnesal quality. There are no cracks or scratches in the wood. There is still a faint cartouche behind the trigger guard. The cleaning rod channel was filled many years ago. The barrel was shortened to 25 inches. Every alteration made to this gun was expertly done. The bore is still as new. The action is very clean and smooth as glass. Overall, this is a very clean shooter at a very good price.
