Description:
The Mauser Portuguese GNR was made specifically for military contract sales to Portugal for use by the Garde Nationale Republicanie (GNR). Mauser logo on toggle. GNR inscribed on chamber.New style toggles (flat and checkered). Chambered in 7.65mm (30 Luger) with 4.75" barrel. Correct aluminum base magazine. Checkered walnut grips. Total units produced was 564 making this a rare model for the collector. Serial number 20xx stamped on barrel and front of frame. All components have matching digits. Original and unrefinished the pistol is in good overall condition. Salt blue finish shows wear on hard edges, barrel end, trigger guard and lower portion of front strap. Grips are in good condition. Barrel bore is shiny and clean with rifling.
