Description:
The 1906 Navy Military 1st issue model was made specifically for military sales to the German navy. This pistol is chambered in 9mm and fitted with a 6" barrel. Late style toggle knobs (flat and checkered) with correct wood based magazine (with concentric circles) and checkered walnut grips. Grip safety and military Crown/M proofs. Note serial number for this pistol 97xxA indicates this is a 1st issue model. Matching serial stamps on rear toggle, trigger, sideplate and takedown lever. The thumb safety has been converted to a 2nd issue variation with safety engaged in down position. This was a common change and reflected in texts regarding this model. Original and unrefinished the pistol has the correct rust blue finish.and is in excellent overall condition. Barrel bore is clean and shiny with rifling. Includes wood presentation box.
