We are offering for sale a Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver chambered in .31 caliber. This Single Action revolver is in FACTORY NICKEL and is extremely scarce! Pistol remains in very good overall condition with a very nice finish. Matching serial numbers. This particular model was manufactured in 1869.
6” barrel is very good; Nickel is bright and shiny with little overall wear. “Address Col. Saml. Colt New York -US America” on tope edge of barrel. The bore is bright and shiny with light wear; Strong rifling. Frame is good with some wear; Loss of nickel finish. Cylinder post is a little wobbly; Cylinder is good with wear. Cylinder “Stagecoach Holdup” scene still lightly visible. Single action functions flawlessly; Cylinder advances with great timing. Original grips are very good showing very light overall wear.
