L. Santina Bernardelli, Gardone,Val Trompia, Brescia Italy 12 gauge two barrel set manufactured in 1972. Both barrels 26 3/4" Boehler steel IC/M shoe lump ejector barrels with raised matted ribs with engraved accents. Gold front beads. Bores/chokes measure .734/.012 right and .732/.017 left on barrel #1. Bores/chokes measure .728/.012 right and .727/.023 left on barrel #2. French Silver H & H style 7-pin bar action sidelock reciever with bushed strikers, cocking indicators, and double triggers. Front trigger articulated. Reciever with full coverage well cut floral engraving. Stocked in European Walnut with a pistol grip buttstock with inlayed Ebony drop points, vacant stock oval, and 32 LPI point pattern checkering. Small beavertail forend with Anson forend release. 14 1/4" LOP to a factory logo 5/8" pad. DAC-1 1/2" DAH-2 3/8" Cast off 1/4" 7lb 8oz with one set of barrels and 7lb 9oz with the other. Cased in its very nice factory leather trunk case with trade label and vinyl case cover. This sidelock game gun remains as new from the maker with 100% mechanical life remaining. I could not resist taking it to South Dakota for pheasants where it functioned flawlessly. It comes to the shoulder with ease and balances on the hinge pin. Santina Bernardelli is a quality Italian maker rarely seen in this country. This is an outstanding two barrel set with great dimensions. Great value on this quality piece.
