Description:
The Colt 1861 Model Navy was made from 1861 to 1873, serial range 1 to 38,843. The 6-shot revolvers were fitted with a 7 1/2 inch round barrel with loading lever, blue metal with color case-hardened frame, lever and hammer, silver plated brass trigger guard and back-strap, non-fluted cylinder with engraved scene of Texas and Mexico Battle, and was .36 caliber percussion. This 1864 vintage Navy is in excellent mechanical condition, with nice bore and perfectly functioning action. The barrel retains about 60% of its original blue finish, the cylinder about 5%. The frame and hammer retain about 30% of their original color case-hardened finishes, the loading lever about 5%. The trigger guard and back-strap retain just traces of their original silver plate.
