CIVIL WAR ERA COLT MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER CIRCA 1862 WITH SCARCE FACTORY LETTER. .36 cal. six shot percussion revolver with 7 1/2" octagon barrel with “ADDRESS COL. SAML. COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA” address. Serial number in the 129,xxx range which is within the approximately two year range (1861-62) of Model 1851 Navies that there are factory records of. All matching numbers except the loading lever and the wedge which are original and period of use field replacements.100% original and fine condition with blue patina mixed finish on the barrel and cylinder. Good visible cylinder scene with very light wear. Frame with minor greying case hardening and patina nicely blended. Excellent grips with the original finish. Brass back strap and trigger guard with traces of the original silver plating. Excellent bore and chambers and perfect working order. With Colt Factory letter.
