Description:
Serial #266. This knife measures 10 1/8” overall (with blade extended) and has a 4” single-edged “ROSTFREI” stainless blade with the SMF “Sitting King” trademark on the ricasso reverse. The steel is in excellent condition overall with only minor scratches and scuffs as well as matching serial numbers on the retention spring and on the thumb-latch. The folding awl has a clear and crisp “(eagle)/L 5” Luftwaffe inspection proof at the base and otherwise matches the condition of the rest of the metal perfectly. The wooden grip panels are in fine shape and have only some minor handling marks in the original oil finish. This is an extremely nice Luftwaffe gravity knife, and rates excellent condition overall.
