Description:
Presented for sale is a Winchester Model 74 .22 Short rifle. These rifles were made from 1939 – 1952. It has a sliding bar safety at the top of the reciever. It loads by pulling a rod out from the butt and feeding the cartridges into the stock’s magazine through an opening in the right side of the stock (see picture). The stock is beautiful straight grain dark walnut in excellent condition. No gouges or nicks. The blueing is fading a little around the trigger guard but otherwise this rifle looks new. It has been in a safe for at least the last 50 years. It has been well cared for and is in exceptional shape. I would estimate it in the 95-98% range. Collectors would be proud to add this one.
