Sale pending! #91650 A. Francotte 9.3x74r ejector double rifle. Made in 1983
Rose and scroll engraving by Jean-Marie Smets.
25 5/8” chopper lump barrels with excellent bores and chambers. Single standing rear sight , and claw mounted Zeiss 1.5 x 12. Blacking has some scratches and is in 90% condition. The rifle shoots very well with Norma 286gr , printing 2” groups at 55 yards.
Action has an extended tang over the nose of the comb, bushed strikers. Double triggers , south gate ejectors. 90% coverage rose and scroll engraving by J M Smets , who was teaching at the Liege school at the time ( I was in first year) . Finish is 98%.
The gun is tight on face , and works flawlessly.
Dark walnut stock with a 15” LOP over a 1” Decelerator pad, drop is 1 5/8” and 2 3/8”. Cast off is ¼” . Tear drops , shadow line cheek piece , trap door grip cap.
The oil finish is in 85% condition with some dents and scratches, checkering is in 95% condition. The rifle weigh 8 pounds 6oz with the scope and 7 pounds 7 oz without.
