<SALE PENDING> For Sale: A 1941 Colt USGI M1911A1 Pistol. This pistol had been nickel plated by a previous owner. It was sent to Fogle's Gunsmithing in Mansfield, OH where it was stripped of the plating and the original parkerized finish applied. Many devout collectors state that refinishing drastically reduces the value. I agree with that philosophy if other than original finishs were applied such as nickel plating. This pistol has the most defined stampings that I have ever seen on M1911A1s. This made it the best candidate for refinishing. The refinish work is of the highest quality. All parts are period correct marked. The barrel is blued as per period specs with correct markings. The magazine is marked with L for Little Manufacturing, a government contractor. The grips are brown checkered plastic. You will not find another example of a M1911A1 in excellent condition for this price. Please review the photos. Contact me for more information and photos.
