Description:
Colt Ace Pre-War Serial #5622 , circa 1935 that was sent back to the Colt Factory in 1956 and was re-finished in the post war dual tone (blue/matt) finish. Shipping reciepts and work sheet from Colt included with the World War 2 era Kraft 2 piece box that it was shipped back to the owner from Colt and an original factory post war Hang Tag. A firing pin spring and stop were also included replaced with the factory re-finish. Wax Paper from Colt is also in the box. The original factory magazine was also re-finished all blue. Previous owner scratched his name in the mag and the mag has a few small dents on the back spine, but still functions perfectly. This Colt Ace remains in 99%+ condition from the factory re-finish in 1956. Original Pre- War sights remain also. Excellent shiny bore with strong rifling and no corrosion. Original grips were replaced at some point with early Herrett Target walnut grips that are fully checkered. Shipped from FFL to FFL or C&R...USPS Priority mail is 20.00
