Description:
Remarkably beautiful original condition for 112 years old! It would be hard to find a better un-messed-with example out there. No evidence of touch-up blue or other "improvements." Matching numbers, including both grips. (we removed only the grips...but don't suspect any mis-match on the internal components) Mild finish wear back from the muzzle, more on the left side, and minor thinning on exposed sharp edges. Fire-blue is vibrant with similar high-edge wear and some minor discoloration. Bore has the typical roughness associated with corrosive ammo: dark, frosted grooves, with complete lands, and even from front to back. Chamber and bolt face are in great shape. We rate the bore at 70% for one of these, and would not hesitate to shoot it. Serial # places production at 1905. This pistol's appearance may benefit greatly from a profession detail cleaning, to get the dried oil staining cleaned from the nooks and crannies. Call or email for further details.
