#3753, Chapuis Progress 7 x 65R & 20 Bore Factory 2 Barrel Set Model R Deluxe with Sideplates Finished in June of 1979, Factory original 2 barrel set, 23 5/8" 7 x 65R ejector barrels with Quarter rib 1 standing & 3 folding sights, The 26 3/8" 20 bore barrels with 2 each screw chokes installed by Jaeger 1n 1990, The 20 at .624 .004 & .017" (Skt.I & Mod.), Original 3" chambers; In 1991 J.J. Perodeau in our shop installed the claw mounts, regulated it to RWS 173 grain & installed a Leupold 1.5 x 5, Double triggers, Bushed strikers, Slight beavertail forends for each set of barrels, Open pistol grip stock, Cheekpiece, No sling eyes, Deluxe wood with excellent black/brown contrast, 14 1/2" x 1 3/8 x 2 1/2" over a supplied Biesen trapdoor buttplate, Very slight cast-off, As a 7 x65R it is 7 lbs. 10 oz. & 8 lbs. 8 oz. with the claw mounted scope, As a 20 bore it is 6 lbs. 12 oz.; 90% coverage of scroll, floral & game scenes, This gun remains in excellent plus condition, The barrel blue at 98%, The frame finish remains at 98%, The stock finish remains at 97%, The checkering at 100%, There is a very slight chip of wood missing at the front of the 20 bore forend, The bores are as new. The whole is cased in a leather factory trunk for both barrels with every piece of paper that came with the gun plus all the work that was done relative the claw mounts and choke tubes.
