This Bradshaw Farquharson double rifle has dropping block action, 17-4 stainless steel action, very nice engraving, 1/4 rib with scope bases, iron sights, double triggers, 23 1/2 barrels and recoil pad. Weight is 8 lbs. 4 oz. Rifle has been tested fired only. Outstanding wood and checkering on stock and forend. The falling block design is not common for double rifles, but exhibits benefits over traditional break action rifles. It is hard to think of a more simple, strong or effective action for a double rifle. There is no hinge pin to wear, barrels will never become loose and off face. The breech block with it's massive recoil bearing shoulds and bushed strikers is fitted with less learance than the width of a hair.
