Description:
24 inch full octagon barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber with full length mag tube and crescent butt. Dark bore with visible rifling. Barrel and mag are a brown/gray coloration with spots of pitting from poor storage. Receiver is a plum/brown patina with traces of original blue in the protected areas. Scattered spots of pitting on frame and lever. Some traces of case color left on the hammer and lever. Action is still fine. Wood has been lightly sanded but not over done. A few handling mars and someone scratched a few words on the left side of the forearm. Not a bad looking entry level lever action Winchester rifle from 1888.
