Description:
Antique 19th century carved hardwood glove holder cane / walking stick. Hand carved French Bulldog head or a pug dog walking stick with good quality bone ears and glass eyes. This cane has a mouth that opens and closes and you can see the tongue and teeth. It look natural and real. Intended to hold your gloves. (see photo) This loyal canine on the handle of this cane will be happy to hold your gloves. A press of the lever under its jaw and it opens the mouth. The stick is in brown straight very hard wood with a metal tip. This was in use in a time when a gentleman would always need his glove to be accepted in polite society.
