Description:
A very fine European prtotype made to gain a contract with Sam Colt. The dimensions and everything about the gun are made perfectly to be interchangeable with the baby dragoon. The SN is #1, all matching and save for the lack of Colt markings, it looks right for a baby dragoon. IE silver plated trigger guard and backstrap, fragile trigger, round cylinder stops, and slim jim grips. There is even a cylinder scene, with colts patent in script, SN 1, and an engraved scene of two men on horseback. Bore is smooth and action crisp. There is even one safety pin present on the rear of the cylinder. A trophy for the advanced Colt collector do to the rarity of prototypes this old. The gun is steel, but the lighting for the pictures may look like brass, but not so. REDUCED!!!
