Winchesters Model 1876 First Model Open Top with factory 28 inch Barrel. The serial number of this early example is #50X placing date of manufacture in 1876. Overall condition is very good. The original untouched factory finish has toned to a blue plum. The bore is very good with strong rifling. The bore is shiny from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect with no breaks, cracks or slivers missing and evidence of sanding.
