Eastern Carbine Trapper, kind of a rarity! Made in 1928, this 30wcf 15" Trapper is in surprisingly nice shape. Barrel and mag tube have pretty decent original finish remaining. Receiver blue has pretty much all gone away, typical with this breed, with traces remaining in protected areas. 15" barrel has a beautiful, crisp, clean bore and rifling that rates an easy 95% condition. Chamber and action interior are similarly nice. Wood is very presentable, tight to the receiver front and back and solid (one small crack in fore end, in front of the band) This example could benefit greatly from a professional detail-cleaning to get the maintennance up to date, but we wouldn't hesitate to shoot it right now, alot! SO...anyone notice something unusual about this one? Right! NO saddle ring! Likely special ordered as a "Eastern Carbine" because a "Trapper" is on foot alot, so who wants a saddle ring rattling-around and scaring all the game? There are several lesser guns at higher prices out there; this one is priced to sell! We have the proper DOJ/ATF clearance papers classifying this as a Curio&Relic, so no problems transfering it. 30wcf caliber, #10571xx. Email or call for further details. C&R Sales OK, CA sales OK.
