Description:
A custom Auguste Francotte – Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, .270 Winchester, 24” barrel, very nice dark walnut stock with cheekpiece, checkered pistol grip and fore end, folding rear sights, fixed open front sight, includes two-piece scope ring bases, manufactured in Liege, Belgium. The sporting rifle was custom made in the mid-1980’s for a petroleum industry executive from Houston, Texas. The rifle was later sold to a collector in Joplin, Missouri, and I purchased the gun from his estate three years ago. There is no custom engraving since the original owner intended the gun to be used in the field. There has been less than 90 rounds of ammunition fired from the rifle. The bore and rifling is in excellent condition.
