Description:
This movie prop gun is a very accurate recreation of the famousSmith & Wesson Double Action Detective Special revolver. A very rare vintage replica non-firing gun manufactured by MGC (MODEL GUN CORP), Japan, made of zinc alloy metal, in excellent working condition. It is an exact functioning replica. The cylinder swings out and rotates and the shell ejector works, It was produced in the 1950's and measures approx. 7 1/2" inches over all in length, and has the same weight , feel, and action of the original S&W but cannot be made to fire real ammunition. The barrel is 2" in length. The grip on the right side looks like it has been burned, but does not effect the looks much and works just fine. The black finish is a bit worn and scratched but just looks natural. It is not marked made in Japan and has no a serial number. This full size replica is very accurate copy of the legendary Smith & Wesson Double Action Detective Special. You can cock the hammer and dry fire it and the shell ejector works. The barrel is plugged so it is impossible to load real ammunition. These sell for about $300.00 in the U.K. and are very hard to find.
