Presented for sale, you will find an Enfield Model 1917 “The American Enfield”. made by Remington in thier Eddystone plant. This rifle is chambered in 30-06 Springfield. In my opinion, an Enfield chambered in 30-06 is a great combination.
This rifle is in good condition considering it is a battle rifle made one hundred years ago. This one appears to be original and not a rework. I did not remove the red paint on the front of the forearm. I do not know what the significance is but I know it means something.
I am curious about the red paint. I would greatly appreciate an email if anyone has the answer to this mystery.
Included in the listing is the pictured U. S. Model of 1917.
