Tony Galazan and his Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company seems to be the Kings of the Model 21 world. Having first the "AUTHORIZED REPAIR CENTER" status, then buying out U.S. Repeating Arms of all of their inventory and completing guns with said inventory, to being the sole builder of the famous Model 21 in his own factory in Connecticut, CSMC has earned its reputation for building the Winchester Model 21 in all its glory. This gun, snW38538 is a classic example, with many extras over and above what came standard. The extra cost options on this gun include exhibition wood, type 2 leather covered pad, "A" carved wood, second set of barrels with splinter style forearm assembly (in addition to the standard beavertail forend…both forends fit both barrels…NICE!), gold wire inlay, extra engraving on barrels, HUEY case with accessories and canvas cover. The frame has jeweling throughout the water table, standing breech, barrel flats, and forend iron. I really like having the splinter forearm for the field and the beavertail for the clays course. Thoughtful touch! The HUEY case is the finest available, custom fit to the gun so there is no movement, a very nice touch for such a fine shotgun. The gun shows as new. The wood is spectacular, as is all of the fit and finish of this gun. The barrels were ordered at a non-traditional 27" and 29" with versatile choking for clays and upland game. If you were to order one today just like this gun it would exceed $31,500 in cost and have a wait time of over 1 year. You can invest a fraction of that in this fine shotgun and have it delivered in less than a week!
