Description:
Pre-64 Mod 70 custom built by R.L Jamison Jr a respected and well known gunsmith who passed away several years ago. This was one of his personal rifles and is truly a beautiful piece. It weighs 9 lbs, which is helpful given that it’s a 375 H&H. The stock is highly figured English walnut with a long length of pull and long swept pistol grip. The checkering is sharp and clean and it has a shadow lined cheek piece. Pistol grip is a skeleton metal grip cap. Recoil pad is a black solid Pachmayer “Old English” decelerator pad. Inletted sling swivels. The bottom metal is tastefully engraved with scroll work and the entire gun has a matt blue finish. The finishing work is very nice and even the bolt release is nicely checkered. No sights on the barrel. It does have Leupold scope bases. Dimensions are 1.25” at the comb and 1.5” at the heel. The barrel is 24” long. This rifle is well suited for the bigger guy who needs a longer length of pull. It is really handsome and is ready for your next trip to Canada, Alaska or even Africa.
