This Winchester M-1 Carbine Ser # 5619XXX was mfg about 3/44 an is in a "NRA Very Good" condition the following is
a breakdown of the various components;
Receiver; Type I with type I w/flip sight and marked w/"S" on r-side of it. Also w/tunnel hsg, w/T - II Tube, Early Spg Glide.
T - III Recoil Plate (Marked "W") w/Earley short thread marked w/"X".
Barrel - Type I w/"W" implant abt 4 1/2"also encircled P/W underneath type II barrel band w/swivel. Also Milled, unmarked
and a inside bevel style, a T-I Gas piston & Nut, T-I Barrel Skirt.
Bolt - T - II flat w/ correct Win internal parts. Trigger Hsg - T - III w/ trigger T -III, Sear T - I, Safety T -II w/"EW, Mag Catch T - III
w/"W". Operating Slide - T - IV w/"W" in well.& late oper slide catch.
Stock - Low wood is an Oval Cut - Low Wood w/"W" in sling well and cross cannonson r-side od stock. Hand Guard - 2 Hole w/"W" on the ubder side and Barrel Band /Swivel T-II. Buttplate - Correct Wnchester.
Included w/this Win Carbine is the a correct WWII Sling. The sling is a "C" type and Olive w/the correct snap post and "mudless
washer" and buckle. The oiler is a correct "SI" oiler. The magzine is a "IW" and is correct for this Winchester.
