BROWNING OLYMPIAN GRADE DOUBLE SIGNED MASTER ENGRAVED 30-06 CALIBER ... 22" Round Barrel ... LOA 42 1/2" ... LOP 13 1/2" ... DAH 1" ... DAC 1 1/2" ... Jeweled extractor ...Polished follower ... Polished bolt ... gold washed trigger ... master engraved ... double signed Manufactured in 1961 in Belgium, this rifle features a blue barrel manufactured without sights and French satin grey finish on the remaining parts, aside from the follower and bolt which are polished with a jeweled extractor and the gold washed trigger.
The front receiver ring is engraved with a bugling elk on the left side signed "V WATRIN". A running pronghorn antelope on the right side of the front reciever ring is signed "V WATRIN". The remainder of the action is floral leaf and punch dot engraved. The hinged floor plate engraved with a deer in a wooded scene with floral leaf engraving below and on the attaching metal and signed "V WATRIN" below the deer. The trigger guard is engraved with a bear with a floral leaf pattern above and below and signed "AD" below the bear. There is a two inch wedge of floral leaf engraving on the breech end of the barrel sides. The screw heads and stock bolts are also engraved with a leaf design.
The stock is extra fancy select walnut with a high gloss finish, fine line checkering and floral and punch dot hand carving on the forearm and grip area, contrasting rosewood forend and grip cap with a diamond shaped gold inset on the grip cap, raised comb, cheekpiece, plastic Browning buttplate and sling swivel studs. Complete with a Browning hard case and original box numbered to the gun.
Condition:Near new with only slight handling/storage marks. The case is excellent. The box is good.
