SALE PENDING A fine original Winchester Model 52C in its original wood shipping crate, shipped from New Haven Conn. in 1955, complete with all of its labels. Order numbers and the serial number are also on the crate lid and end of the main box. All three wooden felt lined hold downs are marked for their place with their original flat head screws. Railway Express label is date coded for January 1950 (1-50). There is a picture of a Winchester rifle in the original wood shipping crate in Roger Rules book "The Rifleman's Rifle, page 60. This rifle was shipped to St. Paul Minnesota. It appears this rifle sat in an attic in the box for some extended period of time. The varnish actually got hot enough to run in places. The stock remains in excellent condition besides the varnish in a few places. Original swivels, hand stop and barrel tuning adjustment. Original blue on the barrel and action remain at 98%+. Muzzle is perfect with all the original blue and not a hint of any wear. Original factory scope and sight blocks remain in excellent original condition. Rear sight Lyman insert is missing. Barrel blue and floor plate/trigger guard is 99%. Original checkered blued steel butt plate remains excellent with untouched screws. Winchester Single shot magaxine was in the rifle and remains in excellent original condition. A desirable Winchester Model 52C in its original shipping crate, a fine addition to an advanced Winchester 52 collection. If you need any additional pictures i can email them to you.
