Description:
Up for sale today is a US Springfield M1 Garand serial no. 2561629 (1944) chambered in caliber .30-06. This excellent WWII original Garand has a mint bore, barrel date of “SA 1-44,” a throat erosion reading of 3 and a muzzle wear reading of 2. The rifle shows excellent original finish on both wood and metal and rack markings that read “HQ 45.” This Garand shows correct original WWII parts including a bar lock rear sight. The lack of cartouche on the stock indicates that it is likely a field repaired stock. An excellent piece of American history and a great addition to any collection.
