Description:
Since Ruger has now discontinued the wonderful Model 1 Single Shot rifle this one is perhaps the last we shall ever receive. Please do not ask about other calibers there are none available and we were lucky to get this one. The 9.3x74R cartridge is a powerhouse, about like a .375 H&H, and ammo is available without problem. This rifle has a 22 inch medium heavy barrel with a 1:10 twist, a ramped front sight with an adjustable rear on a 1/4 rib. Stock and forend are checkered American Walnut and butt has a sporting style recoil pad. As most of you No 1 owners know, Ruger takes great care in the fitting and finishing of these No 1 rifles and this one is no exception. Not many made in this caliber.
