Whitney Navy Second Model 17-31
Whitney Navy, Second Model, 2nd type. This is a very attractive Whitney Navy Second Model Second Type. Serial # 4293. The action works properly on half cock and full cock and locks up tight. The grips have most of the original finish and no dents and dings. The numbers and the letters are very clear and easy to read. The cylinder has 10% of cylinder scene and the barrel and frame are clean with just a little corrosion. The bore has 40-50% of the rifling and a little corrosion; this is a clean, attractive original civil war pistol for the collector or shooter (it should be checked by a gunsmith before shooting).
