Description:
A fine untouched and original Japanese World War 2 Officers Katana in its original sheath. Matching bronze cherry blossom mounts with iron menuki in the shape of a squid on both sides of the green silk wrapped handle. Original green silk handle wrap with original rayskin underneath. Beautiful full length katana blade with an excellent temper line running the full length. Blase measures just over 27 inches. Blade is in original polish and remains in nice condition with no issues. Deeply chiseled engraved bronze tsuba in the cherry blossom pattern also. Beautiful matching mounts from an earlier sword. Fits the scabbard perfectly and solid. Full signed tang with 7 characters on one side and several more on the other side with an armory stamp at the base. There is also a small bar style piece of gold underneath the silk wrap. Nice file lines on both sides of the tang and a single mounting hole, No apologies at all on this fine full length WW2 katana. Shipped USPS Priority mail for 25.00
