Description:
Nice example of a European hunting rifle/shotgun, either British or Belgain (I'm not sure) in 16 gauge and .61 rifled bore. Shotgun barrel under side stamped E over LG over Star enclosed in circle. Rifle side stamped 59 R 300b8. Face of hooked tang stamped 300b8. Nice clean damascus barrels, bores clean, shotgun shiny, rifles shows light pitting, nipples are removable. Rear sight flips up for longer range, front sight small blade. Back action locks are clean and work as designed, both full and half cock, safety latchs in front of each hammer work and locks have fly. Light engraving on most metal parts. Front trigger is a single set for the rifle barrel on the right side, back trigger for shotgun on left side. Wood is European walnut with some figure, sliding wood patch box. No cracks in stock only a few small chips along barrel channel and handling marks consistant with something 150+ years old. Check photos email questions.
