Beautiful Winchester 54 30-06 NRA standard rifle. 30-06 caliber. 24" Barrel. Undrilled rear receiver bridge. Correct factory installed sights including Lyman 48W long slide peep. S/N 44xxxA with matching bolt, Mfg. 1935. 96% Blue, 96% Varnish. Includes factory sling. This rifle appears to have the retrofitted Winchester Model 70 bolt handle which was a factory option for 54s during production transition to the Pre War Model 70 a year later.
All bolt handle connection seams and wood inletting appear to be 100% factory original. A very fine and rare example of the ground breaking predecessor to the venerable Winchester Model 70.
