Swiss (Schmidt) Mdl. 1882/1929 Ordinance Revolver. Cal. 7.5mm, Ser. 201XX.
Magnificent condition, with intricate Swiss engineering and machining.
This beauty retains about 90-95% of the original factory matte blue finish.. The bulk of the loss is the usual muzzle and sharp edge silvering. There is no rust, pits, flaking or scratches anywhere on the gun. Other than the unavoidable hairline cylinder drag ring. The strawed parts are also 95+%.
Be advised that this gun is not marked with the usual "P" stamp, meaning it was never designated for private sale and therefore less common.
All numbers match, with the exception of the cylinder pin, which may indeed be an assembly number. The wooden grips found only on the later models are in great condition with more than 85% of the original finish. They have no chips dents or splits.
The recoil shield and force cone show very minimal use. The chambers are bright and the bore likewise. The rifling is razor sharp with just the vaguest hint of graying.
A really beautiful example of Swiss design and machining and a real asset to a military pistol collection...***REDUCED***$795***REDUCED***
