Description:
Up for sale is my Francotte shotgun. This is a VL&D, US Agents of New York import. Beautiful refinished 26" Siemens Martin Steel barrels, Mirror Bores, choked Full and Modified. (I would rate at 97%) Barrels still ring strong. Strong scroll engraving and beautiful carved fences. The English stock rates very good, only some minor handling marks/dings. Checkering on cheek panels and grip remains strong. Lever is slightly right. LOP is 13 7/8 to newer recoil pad, DAH= 2 3/4, DAC = 1 1/2+. All proper Francotte marks including "Francotte Chokebore". Scrolling still strong and no screws buggered up. Locks up tight, Greener Cross bolt. I'm uncertain as to what model this is. It's at least 14E. Light and very wieldly at 6lbs 4oz. This was my personal hunter. Great in the thickets of Grouse territory and deadly in the open on pheasant. Always used RST's. This is an excellent bird gun from an underrated high end maker.
