Description:
This is an original Marlin Ballard .22LR action with a Winchester 52 barrel. The barrel has a blued finish in good condition, and a good bore as well. The barrel has an unoccupied front dovetail cut and rails for a scope. The scope mounted is a Unertl type scope. The receiver has lost most of it’s finish and has a few small dings and scratches. The hammer, block, trigger, etc. have lost most of their finish but are otherwise undamaged. Inscribed on the left side of the receiver is “To D. Carpenter / Dell Roy O / March 14, 1885” The stock and forend are in ok condition. There is a chunk missing from the left side of the forend where it meets the receiver and dings and scratches throughout. The rubber buttplate is dried and cracking. There is also an unfilled hole in the forend from the previously installed barrel. Furniture has slings swivels, with the front swivel adjustable to 5 positions. The length of pull is 13-½”, the overall length is 43”, and the weight is 12.8 lbs. Our stock number is #A257. Willing to ship anywhere in the US, buyer pays freight and insurance.
