Description:
Considered one of the finest single actions ever made and a go to gun for many of the most famous target shooters at the turn of the last century such as Ira Paine. Beautiful and rare. Serial Number 1991. One of 2072 made in the 44-40 Frontier series. This one has target sights and a 6 1/2" barrel. Nickel finish is in very good condition with some small areas of the finish thinning and flaking. There is very little wear and the action is tight as a drum. The bore is bright with excellent rifeling. The hard rubber grips have turned a nice brown color and have no cracks or chips.
